Position Requested: Robotics Technician (2 Positions)
Reports to: Programs Manager / Operations Manager
Job Purpose
To provide technical support in assembling, maintaining, and troubleshooting robotics kits and equipment; assist in training students and teachers on robotics and electronics; and support the delivery of STEM programs and competitions.
Key Responsibilities
• Assemble, test, and maintain educational and industrial robotics kits.
• Provide technical support during workshops, bootcamps, and competitions.
• Assist in developing instructional materials for robotics training.
• Train and mentor students and teachers in robotics, electronics, and programming.
• Troubleshoot hardware and software issues in robotics kits and equipment.
• Maintain inventory of robotics tools, components, and consumables.
• Support the design and prototyping of new robotics products or components.
• Ensure adherence to safety standards during practical sessions.
• Prepare technical reports and documentation as needed.
Qualifications and Experience
• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Mechatronics, Computer Science, or related field.
• Hands-on experience in robotics, electronics, or related technical areas.
• Knowledge of programming languages for robotics (e.g., C++, Python, Java) is an advantage.
• Familiarity with microcontrollers (Arduino, REV Robotics, etc.) preferred.
• Basic skills in 3D printing, CAD, or prototyping desirable.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
