SERENDIB HOTELS & RESORTS
Serendib Hotels & Resorts invites applications from suitably qualified and experienced candidates for the position of Hotel Internal Auditor, responsible for auditing hotel operations in Salima and Lilongwe.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Conduct regular audits of hotel revenue, cash receipts, payments, purchases, inventory and payroll
- Review compliance with company policies, procedures and internal controls
- Verify supporting documents and identify control weaknesses, irregularities and potential fraud.
- Conduct surprise cash counts, stock counts and operational audits.
- Prepare audit reports and recommend corrective actions.
- Follow up on implementation of audit recommendations.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- A degree or professional qualification in Accounting, Auditing or Finance
- Relevant experience in internal auditing. preferably in the hotel or hospitality industry.
- Strong analytical, reporting and communication skills.
- High levels of integrity, independence and attention to detail
- Willingness to travel between hotel locations as required.
