Jamnet Executive Lodge, located along the M3 Road in Zomba District, is a growing hospitality establishment committed to delivering exceptional accommodation and outstanding customer service. As part of our continued growth, we are inviting applications from suitably qualified, motivated, and experienced individuals to fill the following positions:

Chef (1 Position)

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Prepare and present high-quality meals in accordance with established standards.
• Develop and update menus in consultation with management.
• Supervise food preparation and kitchen operations.
• Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene regulations.
• Monitor food quality, portion control, and presentation.
• Manage kitchen inventory and control food costs.
• Train and supervise kitchen assistants where necessary.
• Ensure proper storage and handling of food items.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety within the kitchen.

Qualifications

• Certificate, Diploma, or equivalent qualification in Culinary Arts, Professional Cookery, or Hospitality Management.

Experience

• Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a Chef in a hotel, lodge, restaurant, or similar establishment.

Skills and Competencies

• Excellent culinary and food presentation skills.
• Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards.
• Creativity in menu planning and recipe development.
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure.
• Strong time management and organizational skills.
• Good leadership and teamwork abilities.
• High level of professionalism and attention to detail.
