FRENCH TEACHER — 1 POST

GRADES 4–7 PRIMARY SCHOOL Teacher (INTERN) — 1 POST

SECONDARY SCHOOL LANGUAGE-HUMANITIES TEACHER (INTERN) — LADIES ONLY — 1 POST

ABOUT THE ROLE

Eagle’s Nest Christian Academy is an international, fast-growing, Christ-centred institution located in Area 43 (Primary) and NRC (High School), Lilongwe.

The Academy offers the Cambridge Curriculum and uses education as a discipleship tool.

The following teaching opportunities are available:

PRIMARY SECTION

French Teacher – 1 Post

• Diploma/Degree in Education or any relevant qualification from a well-recognised institution.
• Must be able to teach two other subjects and Physical Education (P.E.)

Grades 4–7 Primary School Teacher – Intern – 1 Post

• Diploma/Degree in Education or any relevant qualification from a well-recognised institution.
• Must be able to comfortably teach Mathematics, Science and English.

HIGH SCHOOL SECTION

Secondary School Language-Humanities Teacher – Intern – Ladies Only

Acceptable subject combinations include:

• French / History and Geography
• English / French and History
• English / History and Geography

Note: The successful candidate should be willing to perform hostel duty at the girls’ hostel.

KEY REQUIREMENTS

Applicants for all positions should have the following attributes and skills:

• A committed and serious practicing “Born Again” Christian.
• Fluency and accuracy in both spoken and written English, with correct pronunciation.
• Dynamic, creative, passionate and versatile.
• A clear understanding of teaching as a calling.
• Computer literate.
• Must meet the specific academic and subject requirements for the position applied for.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Successful candidates will be expected to:

• Teach assigned subjects effectively.
• Support learners’ academic and personal development.
• Deliver lessons in line with the Cambridge Curriculum where applicable.
• Contribute to the Academy’s Christ-centred and discipleship-focused educational environment.
• Perform additional duties associated with their respective positions, including hostel duties where applicable.
