Local Government Service Commission is inviting applications from the suitably qualified Malawians for the following vacancies existing at Thyolo District Council.
LIVESTOCK SURVEILLANCE OFFICER (GRADE I/M6)
Post: Livestock Surveillance Officer
Grade : I/M6
Location: Thyolo District Council
Duties:
- Responsible for the implementation of livestock production activities in the District
- Responsible for delivery of improved livestock development technologies for use by farmers.
- Facilitate field days, agricultural shows to disseminate technical messages on animal production and health.
- Conduct campaigns against livestock diseases in the District Conduct surveillance activities to prevent entry/spread of livestock diseases in the District.
- Assist in reviewing and updating the various ACTS of the Department.
- Compile monthly, quarterly and annual reports in animal production and Health.
Qualifications
Applicants must be in possession of Degree in Animal Health and Livestock Production / Veterinary Science obtained from a recognized University/ accredited institution
