PROVISION OF SECURITY SERVICES FOR THE PERIOD 2025-2027

1. Blantyre City Council (BCC) is mandated to provide environmentally friendly, high quality, efficient and effective demand driven municipal services in partnership with the individual and corporate residents to attain better quality lives for all residents in the City. The Council has therefore budgeted public funds to be used for the provision of the security services for the period of 2025 to 2027 financial years hence invites bids from interested eligible bidders to submit their bids for the procurement.
2. Bidding will be conducted in accordance with the open tendering procedures contained in para 14 of the Public Procurement and Disposal of Assets Act, 2025, Public Procurement Regulations Number 185 and 186 of 2020, (Government Notice No: 24) and Order 2020 (Participation by Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises), and is open to all bidders (Medium Enterprises) from eligible source countries.
3. Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information and inspect the Bidding Documents from the Blantyre City Council Procurement and Disposal Unit at the address shown in 7(a) below from08:00 Hours to 12:00Hours and 14:00 Hours to 16:00 Hours from Monday to Friday, except public holidays.
4. A complete set of Bidding Document in English may be purchased by interested bidders request to the address below at 7 (a) and upon payment of a non-refundable fee of MK10,000.00 to the Cashier at Blantyre City Council Civic Centre. Bidding documents shall be collected from the Procurement and Disposal Unit of Blantyre City Council, Civic Centre. The method of payment will be cash or bank certified Cheque.
5. Bids clearly marked; “Tenders for Provision of Security Services” must be delivered to the address shown at 6 (b) below at or before 11th March, 2026 at 14:00Hours. Dully Signed Bid Securing Declaration Form shall be required.
Late bids shall be rejected. Bids will be opened in the presence of the bidders or their representatives who choose to attend at the address shown at 6 (b) below on 11th March, 2026 at 14:00Hours.
