INTERN NEWS REPORTERS (4)
Objectives: The internship aims to:
- Provide hands-on experience in journalism and broadcasting.
- Develop skills in news reporting, editing, and program production.
- Foster a deeper understanding of community issues and storytelling.
Scope of Work:
Intern reporters will:
- Research and gather news stories relevant to the community.
- Conduct interviews and attend events for reporting purposes.
- Write, edit, and produce news segments for radio broadcast.
- Collaborate with the editorial team to ensure accuracy and quality.
- Adhere to ethical journalism standards and Mudziwathu Radio’s guidelines.
Duration:
- The internship will last for 5 months, with the possibility of extension based on performance and organizational needs.
Reporting:
- Interns will report to the News Editor or assigned supervisor. Those based in Mchinji are encouraged to apply
Qualifications
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree or diploma in Journalism, Media Studies, or any other related field.
- Strong communication and writing skills.
