INTERN NEWS REPORTERS (4)

Objectives: The internship aims to:

  • Provide hands-on experience in journalism and broadcasting.
  • Develop skills in news reporting, editing, and program production.
  • Foster a deeper understanding of community issues and storytelling.

Scope of Work:

Intern reporters will:

  • Research and gather news stories relevant to the community.
  • Conduct interviews and attend events for reporting purposes.
  • Write, edit, and produce news segments for radio broadcast.
  • Collaborate with the editorial team to ensure accuracy and quality.
  • Adhere to ethical journalism standards and Mudziwathu Radio’s guidelines.

Duration:

  • The internship will last for 5 months, with the possibility of extension based on performance and organizational needs.

Reporting:

  • Interns will report to the News Editor or assigned supervisor. Those based in Mchinji are encouraged to apply

Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree or diploma in Journalism, Media Studies, or any other related field.
  • Strong communication and writing skills.
