1.0 Background

World Vision Malawi partnering with WFP is implementing the Integrated Resilience and Livelihood programming in Phalombe district. The programming is designed for integration between saving lives and enhancing livelihoods, aiming to integrate the aspirations of communities using Community Based Participatory Planning (CBPPs) and Seasonal Livelihood Programming.

The project commonly known as Food for Asset creation (FFA) has several impactful initiatives and innovations aimed at making beneficiaries food secure and enhancing vulnerable populations’ nutrition status but also ensuring that they become resilient in the households and communities. Food Assistance for Assets as a project has components such as Insurance, Climate services, SAMS, Village savings & Loans & Nutrition. WVM is therefore looking for data collection officers to be engaged for a period of 5 days in Phalombe.

Enumerators (10) Phalombe District

Purpose of the position:

The enumerators are expected to do beneficiary registration in 3 T/As in Phalombe district.

Major Responsibilities

  • To register targeted beneficiaries in their respective GVHs using personal androids that will be supported with an application (ODK).
  • Conducting meetings/interviews with beneficiaries at Group Village Headman level for a one on one interface.
  • Comply with data integrity and security policies.
  • Minimum qualification and experience required
  • Minimum of a diploma in any field from recognised Institutions.
  • Practical experience in data collection using Android phones
  • Must have their own SMART phone or tablet
  • Honest, sober minded and team player
  • Excellent communication skills in Chichewa
