Disbursement Manager (NF3)
Job Description
  • To oversee the development, review and effective implementation of policies, strategies, and operational plans for loan disbursement at NEEF to ensure quality service to Fund’s customers and continuous growth of the loan portfolio
Key Duties and Responsibilities
  • Leading in the development, review and implementation of policies, plans, budgets and strategies for loan disbursement operations to ensure continuous growth of the loan portfolio
  • Reviewing and recommending disbursement budgets and cost control across the branch network.
  • Overseeing the entire loan disbursement process, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
  • Monitoring loan activations across the branch network to ensure adherence to established loan disbursement requirements
  • Monitoring and managing the performance of loan disbursement team to meet targets and maintain standards.
  • Conducting periodic market research to assess performance of loan and identify areas for improvement.
  • Recommending new loan products that respond to customer needs in the rural finance market.
  • Preparing and submitting periodic reports on loan disbursement activities
  • Implementing strategies to increase loan penetration rates across rural Malawi within reasonable time as set by the Board.
  • Communicating credit risk policies to all staff and ensuring adherence to the policy.
  • Resolving escalated loan applicants’ questions/queries
Qualification and Experience
  • Master’s Degree in either Finance, Accounting, Economics, Banking, Microfinance, Business Administration, or related field obtained from institutions accredited by NCHE.
  • 5 years of working experience, with at least 3 years at management level.
