Bua Stopover & Lodge in Kasungu District is looking for qualified personnel to fill the following vacant positions as soon as possible.

COOK

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Prepare and cook menu items.
  • Ensure food is prepared in a timely manner.
  • Clean and maintain kitchen equipment, utensils, and appliances.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Monitor stock and inform management of shortages or needed supplies.
  • Assist in creating new menu items and specials.
  • Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth operation of the kitchen.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Proven cooking experience, including experience as a restaurant cook.
  • Accuracy and speed in executing assigned tasks.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and lead the rest of the team.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work under pressure.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • MSCE or food handling certificate/diploma
  • Experience working in a fast-paced restaurant or lodge kitchen.
