PROVISION OF MANNED SECURITY SERVICES
Date of Issue: 11th July 2026.

The Malawi-Liverpool Welcome Research Programme (MLW), an internationally recognized research and training institution in Malawi funded by Welcome Trust invites sealed bids from eligible, qualified, and experienced security service providers for the provision of professional manned security services across its sites in Blantyre, Chikwawa, Lilongwe, and other designated locations.

The required services shall include 24/7 guarding services, access control, patrols, incident detection and response, emergency support, maintenance of security records, and protection of personnel, visitors, assets and facilities.

Minimum eligibility requirements include:

• Valid company registration and relevant operating licences.
• Demonstrated experience of at least ten (10) years in providing similar security services.
• Experience working with international NGOs, UN institutions, or reputable private institutions, those with health lacilities experience will have an added advantage. Attach two relevant relerence letters to this effect.
• Qualified, trained, vetted, and physically fit work force.
• Adequate operational capacity, including trained personnel, supervision arrangements, equipment, and communication tools.
• Evidence of legal, labour, lax, occupational health and safely, confidentiality, and ethical compliance.

Submission of bids: Completed bids must be submitted in sealed envelopes clearly marked “Tender for Provision of Manned Security Services” and addressed to the Chairperson, Internal Procurement and Disposal Committee, Malawi Liverpool Welcome Programme, P.O. Box 30096, Blantyre.

Closing date and time: 31st July 2026 at 16:30 hrs CAT. Late submissions shall not be accepted.

Opening of bids: Bids wil be opened immediately after the closing time at the Malawi Liverpool Welcome Programme offices, in the presence of bidders or their representatives who choose to attend.

The Malawi Liverpool Welcome Programme reserves the right to accept or reject any bid and is not bound to accept the lowest or any bid.
