Background Information
Oxfam in Malawi is implementing the Rooted in Diversity (RID): Partnership for Food Security and Livelihoods Project, with support from the Norwegian Agency for Development Cooperation (Norad). The project is being implemented from January 2024 to December 2028. In Malawi, the RID Project is implemented by Oxfam in partnership with the Department of Agricultural Research Services (DARS) under the Ministry of Agriculture, the Circle for Integrated Community Development (CICOD) and the Evangelical Lutheran Development Services (ELDS), with implementation focusing on Dowa and Nkhotakota Districts. At programme level, RID is coordinated by Participatory Ecological Land Use Management (PELUM) Uganda as the grant holder and is implemented across Malawi, Uganda and Niger, bringing together a consortium of organisations and research institutions working on agrobiodiversity, resilient food systems, sustainable livelihoods, research and innovation, and policy engagement.
As part of its programme management, learning and coordination processes, RID partners convene an Annual Partners Meeting to review progress, and reflect on implementation experiences. The 2026 RID Annual Partners Meeting will be hosted by Oxfam in Malawi and will bring together more 80 participants from Malawi, Uganda and Niger, as well as representatives from Oxfam Netherlands, CIRAD, ICRISAT and PELUM Uganda, in its role as the Programme Management Unit. The meeting will be held under the theme:
In view of the above, Oxfam in Malawi invites eligible and suitably qualified service providers to submit bids for the provision of accommodation, conference facilities, meals, refreshments and other related conference services in accordance with the requirements and specifications below:
