The Malawi Red Cross Society (MRCS) was established by an Act of Parliament under Chapter 18:09 of the Laws of Malawi as a lead provider of Relief and Development Services to vulnerable members of the community across the country.

It is one of the over 150 National Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies world over providing Humanitarian Services and assistance to the needy and vulnerable. It is a member of the International Federation of the Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC). Its activities and operations are guided by the Geneva Conventions dating back to 1949, as well as subsequent protocols to the Conventions.

INVITATION FOR BIDS

The Malawi Red Cross Socicty invites tenders for the provision of Transport, Security, and cleaning services in separate lots. Successful bidders will enter a long term frame work agreement for over a period of 18-24 months from September 2026.

LOTS AND SPECIFICATION

There are three separate ‘Bid Lots” as laid out in the table below

Interested bidders can bid for ANY or ALL of the Lots. Interested bidders must submit bids for each lot separately.

1. Bidding will be conducted in accordance with the open tendering procedures and is open to all interested bidders
2. Interested eligible bidders may request bid documents through internalprocurement@redcross.mw
3. Documents must be delivered in hard copies to the Malawi Red Cress Society Head Offices, Area 14, along the Presidential Highway. Address: P. O. Box 30096 | Lilongwe
4. Bids must be delivered and deposited in the tender box at Malawi red Cross Society at or before 11: 00 hours, on 7th July 2026.
5. Malawi Red Cross reserves the right to reject any or all bids and is not bound to accept the lowest or any bidder

Interested bidders should submit their offers accompanied by copies of appropriate documents as follows and can obtain more information by writing to internalprocurement@redcross.mw;

• Price Quotation, VAT inclusive, in Malawian Kwacha.
• Business Registration Certificate
• Tax remittance Certificate and VAT
• Latest Bank Statement of not more than three months.
• PPDA
• Reference not more than 3 years.

Hand delivery to Malawi Red Cross Offices (Lilongwe in Area 14) in scaled envelopes clearly marked “ITEM NO/REFERENCE”, on or before 7 July 2026. at 11:00 AM.

Note:

MRCS has zero tolerance for all forms of harassment, discrimination, abuse, and bullying, especially pertaining to children and vulnerable adults. The contractor or Service provider will be required to commit to adhere to MRCS safeguarding policies & code of conduct. The contractor will ensure all staff on the project sign up to safeguarding policies as required. The Contractor will be required to support district and community-level structures in understanding and implementing of safeguarding policies
