INVITATION TO BID
EXTERNAL WATER RETICULATION AND CONNECTION – REHABILITATION
WORKS AT QUEEN ELIZABETH CENTRAL HOSPITAL
Issue Date: Saturday 5th September 2026

1. Queen Elizabeth Central Hospital has allocated funds in its 2026/2027 Financial Year budget and intends to use part of the proceeds of these funds for payment of external water reticulation and connection – rehabilitation works at Queen Elizabeth Central Hospital.

2. The Chairperson, Internal Procurement and Disposal of Assets Committee, Queen Elizabeth Central Hospital, now invites sealed bids from eligible and qualified bidders for the provision of the above works.

3. Bidding will be conducted through National Competitive Bidding (NCB) procedures for works specified in accordance with the Public Procurement and Disposal of Public Assets Law, Regulations of the Government of the Republic of Malawi and is open to all eligible bidders.

4. Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information from Procurement and Disposal of Asset Unit and inspect the Bidding Documents at the address given below in 8(a) from 08.00 to 12-00 and 13.00 to 16.00 hours local time (Monday to Friday, except national public holidays and weekends).

5. A complete set of Bidding Documents in English Language may be inspected, purchased by interested bidders from the address shown in 8(b) below and upon payment of a non-refundable fee of MK10, 000.00. The method of payment shall be Cash.

6. Bids must be registered and delivered to the address shown in 8(b) below on or before Friday, 25th September 2026, 10:00hours local time. Electronic bidding will not be permitted. Late bids will be rejected. Bids will be opened in the presence of the bidders or bidders’ representatives who choose to attend the bid opening meeting at the address below in paragraph 8(c) on Friday 25 September 2026 at 10:00hours local time. Bids shall be valid for a period of 120 (One hundred Twenty) days after bid opening.

7. A mandatory pre-bid meeting will be held on 18 September 2026
