INVITATION FOR PRE-QUALIFICATION OF FABRICATION CONTRACTORS

PROJECT: NATIONWIDE BRANCH ROLLOUT

1. BACKGROUND & PROJECT SCOPE

Telekom Networks Malawi (TNM) Plc, Malawi’s premier telecommunications and mobile financial service provider, is embarking on a strategic infrastructure expansion drive. To bring seamlessly integrated telecommunications and digital financial services closer to every Malawian, TNM plans to establish additional new physical branches and service outlets nationwide.

2. SCOPE OF WORKS & REQUIRED CAPABILITIES

TNM invites applications from established, reputable, highly qualified, and financially sound Fabrication Contractors to be prequalified for the fabrication, and supply of Branded cabins across all regions of Malawi. Prequalified fabricators will be contracted on a framework contract basis.

3. ELIGIBILITY & PREQUALIFICATION CRITERIA

Applicants must demonstrate operational excellence, rapid execution scalability, and strict adherence to structural and engineering standards. Applications will be evaluated against the following criteria:

1. Legal & Regulatory Compliance
2. Technical Capacity & Workshop Infrastructure
3. Human Resource & Technical Expertise
4. Proven Track Record
5. Financial Capacity & Stability

4. MANDATORY SUPPLIER DUE DILIGENCE PROCESS

Compliance with TM’s corporate governance, anti-bribery, and ethical procurement standards is strict and non-negotiable.

Prequalification is strictly contingent upon successful completion of the TM Supplier Due Diligence Process. Applicants are required to request, complete, and return the official TNM Supplier Due Diligence Form along with all required supporting documentation. Failure to submit a fully completed Questionnaire will lead to automatic disqualification.

5. INSTRUCTIONS FOR APPLICATION & SUBMISSION

Interested fabricators must request the due diligence form and submit their prequalification documents as detailed below:

Supplier Due Diligence Form: Send an email request to procurement@tnm.co.mw with the subject “Request for Prequalification – Fabrication Services”

Digital Submission: Submit consolidated PDF document containing the completed Form and all supporting documents via email to: procurement@tnm.co.mw

Submission Checklist. Applications must include the following documents:

1. Completed TNM Supplier Due Diligence Form;
2. Company Profile with Background of Directors and Biographies of key staff
3. Certificate of Incorporation or Business Registration;
4. Tax registration certificate and current Tax Clearance Certificate;
5. Relevant NCIC or trade registration;
6. Evidence of workshop ownership or lease;
7. List of key technical personnel and certifications;
8. Evidence of similar assignments with client references;
9. Audited financial statements for the past two years or current bank statement and bank reference letter.
