INVITATION FOR BIDS BY NATIONAL COMPETITIVE BIDDING (NCB) FOR A DESIGN, SUPPLY, DELIVER, INSTALL AND COMMISSION FIRE DETECTION AND SUPPRESSION SYSTEM FOR POWER PLANTS PROCUREMENT REFERENCE NUMBER: EGC512/NCB/G/FY2026-27

1. EGENCO carries on the business of generating power in the Republic of Malawi and has budgeted funds to be used for procuring a Design, Supply, Deliver, Install and Commission Fire Detection and Suppression System for Power Plants

2. The Chairperson, Internal Procurement and Disposal Committee, invites sealed bids from experienced and registered Suppliers.

3. The main purpose of the procurement is to Design, Supply, Deliver, Install and Commission a Fire Detection and Suppression System for Kapichira, Tedzani, Wowe, Mapanga, Kanengo, Lilongwe A, and Luwinga.

4. The bids shall be evaluated in accordance with the Public Procurement and Disposal of Assets Act of 2025.
5. Participation is open to all eligible bidders and qualified local Firms who are duly registered to supply and deliver goods.

6. Interested prospective bidders may obtain Bidding Documents and further information during working hours from Monday, 20th July 2026. 8. The Bidding document in English shall be purchased by interested bidders upon payment of a non-refundable fee of MK10,000.00 or equivalent. 9. Electronic submission will not be permitted, and late bids will be rejected.
