1. The Government of Malawi, through the Ministry of Health and Sanitation is implementing the Presidential Initiative on Maternal Health (PIMH) project to address key maternal health challenges in the country through a health systems approach. This will address the root causes of the high and rising Maternal morbidity and mortality in the country.

2. The Ministry of Health and Sanitation has budgeted funds under PIMH and intends to use part of the funds towards eligible payments for Supply and Delivery of Community Midwifery Assistant Kits.

The Chairperson, Internal Procurement and Disposal Committee (IPDC), now invites sealed bids from eligible and qualified bidders as below;

3. Bidding will be conducted in accordance with National Competitive Bidding (NCB) Tendering Procedures as contained in PPDA Act (2025) and 2020 Public Procurement Regulations of the Republic of Malawi.

4. A complete set of Bidding Documents in English Language may be purchased by interested bidders from the address shown at 7(c) below and upon payment of a non-refundable fee of MK10,000.00 in the Cash Office.

5. Sealed Bids, clearly marked on the outer envelope with Tender Description and Reference Number NCB 031-MOH-NCB-G-PIMH-26/27-004 must be delivered and deposited in a tender box located on the second floor landing at or before 10:00 am (local time) 24th August, 2026. Bids shall remain valid for 120 days after the deadline for bid submission.

6. Bids will be opened in the presence of the bidder’s representatives, who choose to attend at the address 7(b) below at 10:00 am (local time) on 24th August, 2026. All bids must be accompanied by a Bid Securing Declaration Form and a SAMPLE CARRIER BAG.
