INVITATION FOR BIDS (IFB) KASUNGU MUNICIPAL COUNCIL

Subject of Procurement: Procurement of Construction Works and Goods
Date of Issue: 20th July, 2026

1. Kasungu Municipal Council has funds from the government of the Republic of Malawi under the Reformed Constituency Development Fund (RCDF), and intends to use the funds to implement various development projects within the Municipality.

2. The Chairperson of the Internal Procurement and Disposal of Assets Committee (IPDC) invites Sealed Bids from Eligible and Interested contractors and suppliers for the procurement of works and supply of goods as shown below:

3. Bidders are at liberty to Bid for More than One (1) Lots. The basis for bid evaluation and contract award will be by individual lot. No Bidder shall be awarded more than one Lot. Bidders willing to bid for more than one Lot should be prepared to pay for each and every additional Lot.

4. Bidding will be conducted in accordance with the open tendering procedures contained in the Public Procurement and Disposal of Assets Act (2025) and Regulations (2017) of the Government of the Republic of Malawi.

5. A complete set of bidding document in English language may be purchased by interested bidders at a Non-Refundable Fee of Mk 30,000.00 payable to the following account: KASUNGU MUNICIPAL COUNCIL, STANDARD BANK OF MALAWI, ACCOUNT NUMBER: 910000158575, KASUNGU BRANCH or through the cash office where a cash receipt shall be issued. Collection of bids will start on Monday 20th July, 2026 from the civic offices.

6. Sealed bids procured under RFQs for works and goods (items 5-12) must be delivered to the address below on or before 24th July, 2026, 10:00 am hours. All bids must be accompanied by a BID SECURING DECLARATION. Late bids shall be rejected. Bids will be opened in the presence of the available bidders’ or their representatives on 24th July, 2026 at 10:00 am hours (local time).
