1. Mangochi Municipal Council has budgeted funds from Malawi Government through Community Development Fund (CDF), Roads Fund Administration (RA), and Locally Generated Revenue (LGR) for the financial year 1st April. 2026 to 31st March, 2027 budget. It intends to use these funds for the procurement of Works, National Competitive bidding on Major works, and Minor works, within Mangochi Municipal Council.

The Municipal Council now invites sealed bids from eligible consultancy service providers, and contractors registered with CIRA and PPDA in the relevant categories for the following procurement of works.

2. The Chairperson, Internal Procurement and Disposal Committee of Mangochi Municipality Council now invites sealed Bids clear indicating the name of the project and lot number on the envelop from eligible and qualified Consultancy Service providers and Local Contractors registered as in the table above for Construction Works, and Consultancy services mentioned above.

3. Bidding will be conducted in accordance with the National Competitive bidding procedure contained in the Public Procurement and Disposal of Assets act (2025), Public Procurement Regulations, 2020 and, PPDA Circular, Ref. No. PPDA/01/22 (Public Procurement Laws and Regulations) is open to all eligible bidders

4. Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information from Mangochi Municipal Council, Procurement Unit Phone number 0883574533 email eliahkasolegift @gmail.com and inspect the bidding documents at Mangochi Municipal Council, Private bag 138 Mangochi. From 8:00am to 12:00PM and 13:00hrs to 16:00hrs (Monday to Friday, except on National Holiday)

5. A complete set of bidding document in English may be obtained in soft copy through email by interested Bidders upon payment of non-refundable fee of MK 30,000.00 to the address below (7a) and payment will be in cash. Or the cash can be deposited to the following account: Mangochi Town Council, Development Account No. 1650000013119, FDH Bank Mangochi Branch Malawi.
NB: Lot 1 Major works CDF, Nkanamwano Drainage system, since the work has been re advertised, the bidders who participated in the previous year municipal roads rehabilitation fund projects on this project, they will only pay an additional fee to squire the balance on the current charges.

6. The complete bidding documents in hard copies must be delivered in sealed envelopes clearly marked with the description of works and Lot number with their reference numbers should be delivered and deposited at the address below (7b) before 13:30 hour’s local time. Electronic bidding will not be permitted. Late bids will be rejected and returned unopened. Bids will be opened in the presence of bidders or their representatives who chose to attend at the address below (7c) at 14:00 hour’s local time on Friday 7th August, 2026. All bids must be accompanied by all requirements whether on the document or advert.

NB: According to the Council bylaws, all the successful bidders will be required to register the said business for business license with the Council before commencing the work. A full payment should be made soon after signing the contract.
