PROCUREMENT OF WORKS-UNDER CDF INVITATION FOR BIDS (IFB) ONE ENVELOPE
Date of Issue: 15th July, 2026

1. Nkhata bay District Council has allocated funds from Government of Malawi through the Constituency Development Fund (CDF) and intends to apply part of the funds towards various infrastructures development within the District.

2. The District Council now invites sealed bids from eligible contractors registered with CIRA in categories for the procurement of the following works;

3. Bidding will be conducted through open tendering procedures under National Competitive Bidding (NCB) procedures as specified in the Malawi Public Procurement and Disposal of Assets Act 2025 and Regulations of the Government of the Republic of Malawi, and are open to all Contractors/bidders from Eligible Source as defined in the Bidding Documents.

4. Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information and inspect the bidding documents at the address given below from 08:30 to 12:00; 13:00 to 16:00 hour’s local time (Monday to Friday, except National public holldays).

5. A complete set of Bidding Documents in English may be purchased by interested bidders upon payment of a non-refundable fee of MK30, 000.00. The method of payment will be cash. The Bidding Documents will be collected by the interested bidder.

6. Bids must be valid for ninety (90) days after bid opening and must be accompanied by a Bid Security of 1,000,000.00 Malawi Kwacha per lot in a form of bank guarantee or bank certified cheque. Bids must be delivered to the address in 8 (a) and deposited in a box marked IPDC Tender Box that is placed at the Entrance to Nkhata Bay District Commissioner’s Offices at or before 10.00 Hours Local Time on Tuesday, 04th August, 2026. Late bids will be rejected.

7. Bids will be opened in the presence of bidders representatives who choose to attend at the address in a (b) below at 10.00 Hours local time on Tuesday, 4th August 2026.

8. It is the responsibility of each Bidder to ensure that bids are submitted in accordance with “Instructions to Bidders” in the bidding documents as non-compliance to the instructions will lead to disqualification and rejection of the bid.

9. Site Visit and Pre – Bid meeting is mandatory and will be held on Wednesday and Thursday 27th and 28th July, 2026 from 08:00 hours and Departure venue is at Nkhata bay District Council chamber Car port.
