Mangochi District Council has funds in its 2025/2026 budget under CDF, and intends to use part of the funds towards implementation of eligible project under the works contracts as below:

1) Bidding will be conducted in accordance with the National Competitive Bidding (NCB) procedures contained in the Public Procurement Law and Regulations of the Government of Malawi and is open to all bidders from eligible source countries.

2) Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information from Mangochi District Council, Procurement Unit, Phone numbers 0997695678, 0995335743 and 0994426681 email – ephnyirenda@yahoo.co.uk, mcraymunlo@gmail.com, priscamankhusu@gmail.com and inspect the bidding documents at Mangochi District Council office, P.O. Box 138 Mangochi, from 8:00 to 12:00 and 13:30 to 16:00 hours local time (Monday to Friday, except on national public holidays)

3) A complete set of bidding documents in English may be obtained in soft copy through email, by interested bidders upon payment of a non-refundable fee of MK30,000.00 at Mangochi District Council, Cash Office, or through bank: Mangochi District Development Fund, National Bank of Malawi,Account No# 474312, Mangochi Branch. Bidders are advised to request the bidding documents through the email addresses in (2) above.

Bids shall remain valid for a period of 120 days from the date of opening

Requests for clarification must be submitted in writing to the address in (2) above, at least 7 calendar days before the tender closing date

4) The complete bidding documents in hard copies must be delivered to, The Chairperson, Internal Procurement & Disposal Committee(IPDC), Mangochi District Council, Private Bag, 138, Mangochi no later than 31st August, 2026 at 02.00hrs local time. Late bids shall be rejected. Bids will be opened in the presence of bidders, representatives who choose to attend at Mangochi District Council, Conference Hall on 31st August, 2026 at 02.00hrs in Mangochi District. The Council is not bound to accept the lowest or any other bid and may reject any or all of the bids

All bids must be accompanied by a Bid Securing Declaration

5) The procuring entity shall conduct a mandatory pre-bid site visit to all the project sites as detailed in the schedule below:
