3. Bidders are at liberty to Bid for More than One (1) Lot. The basis for bid evaluation and contract award will be by individual lot. Bidders willing to bid more than one class should be prepared to pay for each additional class.

4. Bidding will be conducted in accordance with National Competitive Bidding (NCB) under Building and Civil works category and Procedures contained in the public procurement Act and Regulations of the Republic of Malawi and is open to all bidders.

5. The participation fee for bidding is Mk 20,000.00 which will not be refunded (Payable to Thyolo District Council’s Cash Office) followed by the collection of the document from the address indicated below starting from 27th July 2026 during working hours.

6. Sealed bids must be delivered to the address below on or before 18th August 2026, 10:00 am hours. All bids must be accompanied by a Bid Securing Declaration. Late bids shall be rejected. Bids will be opened in the presence of the bidders’ representatives who choose to attend on 18th August 2026, 10:00 am hours (local time).

7. Note that site visits are not mandatory but contractors are strictly advised to visit the sites on their time to familiarize themselves with the site, terrain, condition and pass ability of the roads for an informed decision when developing their rates.
