Nkhotakota District Council has budgeted funds in the 2026-2027 Financial Year under Constituency Development Funds (CDF) and intends to apply part of the funds for the Construction Project listed below under National Competitive Procurement using RFB procedures from eligible bidders.

The Chairperson, Internal Procurement & Disposal of Assets Committee, Nkhotakota District Council now invites sealed bids from eligible and qualified bidders for the works as specified below:

3. Bidding will be conducted through Open Tendering procedures under National Competitive Bidding
(NCB) specified in the Malawi Public Procurement and Disposal of Asset Act 2025 and Regulations of the Government of the Republic of Malawi and are open to all bidders.

4. Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information and inspect the bidding Document at the address given below at clause 7 (a) from 08.00 to 12-00; 13.00 to 16.00 hours local time (Monday to Friday), except Public Holidays).

5. A complete set of Bidding Document in English may be purchased by interested bidders upon payment of a non-refundable fee of MK40, 000.00 on the address below at clause 7 (b). The method of payment will be cash or bank certified cheque. Bidders shall be required to include a cash receipt in their bidding document as a proof of purchase of a document. Bidding document that will not have a receipt shall be rejected.

6. Clearly marked bids with procurement reference number must be deposited in the Tender Box, at the address below at 7(c) at or before 10.00 am local time on Thursday, 6th August 2026. All bids must be accompanied by a Bid Securing Declaration in our format. Late bids shall be rejected. Bids will be opened in the presence of bidders’ representatives, who choose to attend at the address below at 7(d) at 10.00 am, local time on Thursday, 6th August 2026.

7. The Council will not hold a mandatory site visit or pre-bid meeting, instead the council will have a virtual conference on 24th July 2026 at 10:00am, and the contractors will be shared the link through Procurement office. Bidders are free and strongly encouraged to visit the project sites at their own cost before submitting their bids. Any site visit undertaken by a bidder shall be solely for the purpose of obtaining information necessary for the preparation of their bid.
