INVITATION FOR BIDS (IFB)
DISPOSAL OF MOTOR VEHICLES
NATIONAL COMPETITIVE BIDDING
DATE OF ISSUE: MONDAY, 15TH JUNE 2026

1. The National Oil Company of Malawi Limited (NOCMA) is wholly owned by the Government of Malawi (GOM). NOCMA was registered in 2010 under the Companies Act of 1984 with the mandate to:

• Promote upstream oil and gas exploration;
• Manage Strategic Fuel Reserve (SFR) Facility; and
• Provide, at a fee, hospitality to new entrants as one way of promoting competition.

2. The Chairman, Internal Procurement and Disposal Committee invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for the disposal of motor vehicles. The vehicles will be sold on “as is” “where is” basis with no guarantee or warranty expressed or implied as to the condition of the items. No refunds will be made after payment for the vehicles. The vehicles up for disposal are as follows:

3. Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information from NOCMA’S Procurement and Disposal Unit, Kang’ombe House, 8th Floor, West Wing, City Centre, Lilongwe, Malawi from 08:00 to 12:00hours, 13:00 to 16:00hours local time (Monday to Friday) except on Public Holidays or email: procurement@nocma.mw, mdawe@nocma.mw/ cnambala@nocma.mw or call 0991810841/ 0992404140 during working hours only.

4. Interested eligible bidders are required to submit a bid for each vehicle separately, Offers should be placed in a sealed envelope and Cleary marked with the registration number of the vehicle being bid for, each bid must include the bidder’s full name, phone number and a copy of their national ID. Interested bidders should submit their applications, enclosing copies of their bid on 7th July 2026 at 10:00 a.m. (local time) to:

5. Opening of Bids shall commence at 10:00 a.m. (local time) on 7th July 2026 for NOC at NOCMA Board Room, Kang’ombe House, 4th Floor, East Wing, City Centre, Lilongwe, Malawi. Interested bidders, their representatives and the General public are welcome to attend.

6. Award of contract to the successful bidder will be communicated formally. The successful bidder will be required to make payment to NOCMA within two weeks of receipt of offer.

7. NOCMA reserves the right to accept or reject any bid, in whole or in part, without assigning any reason(s).
