The Lilongwe District Council with support from Ministry of Health intends to make eligible payments under the works for construction of Maternity and Theatre at Nathenje Health Centre, T/A Chadza in Lilongwe District.

The Chairperson of the Internal Procurement and Disposal of Assets Committee of Lilongwe District Council now invites sealed bids from eligible interested bidders who are currently registered in the 1 Billion Category (Building) with Construction Industry Regulatory Authority (CIRA)/(NCIC) of Malawi renewed in 2025-26 financial year for the construction of a Maternity and Theatre at Nathenje Health Centre in T/A Chadza, Lilongwe District;

Bidding will be conducted in accordance with the open tendering procedures contained in the Public Procurement and Disposal Act of 2025 and Public Procurement Regulations of 2020 of the Government of the Republic Malawi and is open to all bidders from eligible source countries.

Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information from Lilongwe District Council, Room 13A, Attention: The District Procurement Officer, on Cell: +265 999 205 273/0999 000 383/0999 442 450 and inspect the Bidding Documents at the address given below at (a) from 8.30 to12.00;13.00 to 16.30 hours’ local time (Monday to Friday, except national public holidays).

A complete set of Bidding Documents in English language may be purchased by interested bidders from the address below upon payment of a non-refundable fee of MWK35,000.00 cash or in a freely convertible currency. The payment for bids can be made in cash office, Room 18.

Clearly marked bids with procurement reference number must be registered in Room 13A and dropped in a tender box placed at the reception before Monday, May 11th 2026 at 10.00 hours’ local time.
Electronic bidding will not be permitted. LATE BIDS WILL BE REJECTED.

Bids will be opened in the presence of bidder’s representatives who choose to attend at the address below at (b) on Monday, May 11th 2026 at 10.00 hours’ local time.

All bids must be accompanied by a Bid Securing Declaration in the format specified in the bidding document.
