Blantyre District Council, with funding from the Central Government (Treasury) through Ministry of Local Government, has budgeted public funds in the 2026/27 financial year for the procurement of various works under CDF in Blantyre District.

1) Bidding will be conducted in accordance with the National Competitive Bidding (NCB) procedures contained in the Public Procurement Law and Regulations of the Government of Malawi and is open to all bidders from
eligible source countries.

2) Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information from Blantyre District Council, Procurement Unit, Phone numbers; +265 888 483 080 | 999 383 080 Email: paul.matandala@gmail.com and inspect the bidding documents at Blantyre District Council office, Private Bag 97, Blantyre, from 8:00 to 12:00 and 13:30 to 16:00 hours local time (Monday to Friday, except on national public holidays)

3) A complete set of bidding documents in English may be obtained in soft copy through email, by interested bidders upon payment of a non-refundable fee of MK25, 000.00 at Blantyre District Council, Cash Office.

Bidders are advised to request the bidding documents through the email addresses in (2) above.

• Bids shall remain valid for a period of 90 days from the date of opening
• Requests for clarification must be submitted in writing to the address in (2) above, at least 7 calendar days before the tender closing date

4) The complete bidding documents in hard copies must be delivered to, The Chairperson, Internal Procurement & Disposal Committee (IPDC), Blantyre District Council, Private Bag 97, Blantyre no later than 19th August, 2026 at 13:30hrs local time. Late bids shall be rejected. Bids will be opened in the presence of bidders, representatives who choose to attend at Blantyre District Council, Conference Hall on 19th August, 2026 at 13.30hrs in Blantyre District. The Council is not bound to accept the lowest or any other bid and may reject any or all of the bids

All bids must be accompanied by a Bid Securing Declaration

The procuring entity shall conduct a mandatory pre-bid site visit to all the project sites as detailed in the schedule below:
