The COMESA Secretariat has received financing from the African Development Bank toward the cost of the Capacity Building for Gender and Infrastructure Statistics in Transition States – Phase 1 and intends to apply part of the agreed amount for this grant to payments under the contract for the recruitment of an International Transport Investment Needs Expert.
The services included under this project are to support evidence-based decision-making by Regional Member Countries, Regional Economic Communities, development partners and the African Development Bank. It will help identify where investment is needed, how much is required, how it can be financed, and what institutional and governance reforms are necessary to ensure that investments are implemented, maintained and translated into development outcomes.
The duration of the assignment is ninety (90) working days.
COMESA Secretariat now invites eligible individual consultants to indicate their interest in providing these services. Interested Individual consultants must provide information indicating that they are qualified to perform the services (Curriculum Vitae (CVs), description of similar assignments, experience in similar conditions, , etc.).
Eligibility criteria, establishment of the short-list and the selection procedure shall be in accordance with the African Development Bank’s “Procurement Framework for Bank Group Funded Operations” dated 2015, which is available on the Bank’s website at: https://www.afdb.org/en/projects-and-operations/procurement/new-procurement-policy .
A Consultant will be selected in accordance with the Individual Consultant Selection method set out in the Procurement Policy.
