VACANCY – CAR WASH SUPERVISOR
Our innovative and growing Company is searching for experienced candidates to join our exciting team in the vacant position tenable at our Avis Rent A Car Malawi Lilongwe Office, an energetic, hardworking, honest and enterprising person are some of the attributes for this position.
CAR WASH SUPERVISOR – DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Receive all vehicles that needs to be cleaned at the Washing Bay, inspect the vehicle floor mats (both plastic and carpet) and identify if they are worn-out or in good condition.
- Check tool box, fire extinguisher, check if any valuable items have been left by customers/clients and report immediately to the Head of Department and Sales.
- Check if Avis stickers are properly stacked and available (COF, RSP, Insurance).
- Thoroughly check if all vehicles are properly cleaned and dried and report to the Departmental Head if there is any pending work.
- Monitoring, training the Car Washers and helping where need be, wash & cleaning vehicles both exterior and interior, Vacuuming all floor mats and seats.
- Monitoring the use of operating equipment’s such as high pressure jet machines and making sure that are in good condition.
- Ensuring quality work is done before submitting the vehicle to sales department.
- Perform visual inspections of the cleaning equipment & chemicals to ensure proper inventory of raw materials (Cleaning materials)
- Making sure that all Car Washers are following Company and safety procedures, enforcing rules and discipline plus time management.
- Responsible for deep cleaning of vehicle interiors
- Quality control, detailing of all vehicles and polishing.
- Monitoring & reporting if any insect is observed inside the vehicle for immediate fumigation.
- Record keeping of all work done and proper hand overs with the Sales department.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
- Minimum of Malawi School Certificate of Education
- Tertiary certificate in any field
- Not less than 4 year’s experience in the same field.
- Physical stamina is a must
- Comfortable working outdoors & flexible to work long hours and as per the job demand.
- Attention to detail
- Not more than 35 years old.
