Responsibilities
Project Planning & Management
- Collaborate with Product, Technology, Operations, Risk,
- Conduct stakeholder interviews, workshops, and consultations.
- Gather, document, and validate business requirements.
- Develop Business Requirement Documents (BRDs) and Functional Requirement Specifications (FRS).
- Translate business requirements into technical specifications.
- Develop project scopes, schedules, budgets, and implementation plans.
- Coordinate project teams and external vendors.
- Manage multiple Mobile Money projects simultaneously
Product Launch Management
- Collaborate with Product, Technology, Operations, Risk,
- Conduct stakeholder interviews, workshops, and consultations.
- Gather, document, and validate business requirements.
- Develop Business Requirement Documents (BRDs) and Functional Requirement Specifications (FRS).
- Translate business requirements into technical specifications.
- Develop project scopes, schedules, budgets, and implementation plans.
- Coordinate project teams and external vendors.
- Manage multiple Mobile Money projects simultaneously
Product Launch Management
- Coordinate SIT, UAT, pilot, dry runs, cutover and hypercare activities.
- Track project scope, milestones, dependencies, risks, issues and deliverables.
- Coordinate vendors and technology partners to ensure agreed deliverables are completed on time
- Coordinate defect resolution and ensure successful retesting before production deployment
- Prepare project status reports and provide regular updates to management
- Ensure readiness across Operations, Customer Service, Finance, Compliance and Marketing Functions
Product Enhancement & Innovation
- Identify opportunities for new Mobile Money products and services.
- Support design and rollout of:
- Wallet services
- Merchant payments
- Bulk payments
- International remittances
- Savings and lending products
- Airtime and utility payments
- Conduct market and competitor analysis.
Regulatory & Compliance Support
- Ensure compliance with Central Bank regulations.
- Support AML/CFT controls.
- Ensure compliance with data privacy requirements.
- Participate in audits and regulatory reviews.
Risk Management
- Manage implementation risks.
- Maintain project risk registers.
- Escalate critical issues.
- Ensure project governance compliance
- Ensure business continuity during implementation.
Vendor & Partner Management
- Manage Airtel Money platform vendors.
- Coordinate integrations with:
- Banks
- Fintechs
- MNOs
- Payment gateways
- Switches
- Government systems
Qualifications
Relevant Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Information Systems and Computer Science. Professional certifications in Business Analysis, Project Management, Agile Delivery are highly desirable
- 3-5 years’ experience in Business Analysis, Project Management, Product Delivery, or Digital Financial Services.
- 2-4 years’ experience within a Mobile Money, Fintech, Banking, Payments, or Telecommunications environment.
- Experience managing end-to-end project lifecycles from requirements gathering through implementation and post-go-live support.
- Experience using data and analytics to support business decision-making.
- Experience developing operational and management reports using tools such as Power BI, Tableau, Excel, or SQL.
- Ability to analyze transaction trends, customer behavior, product performance, and operational KPIs.
